| United
Way diversifiedsystems' employees have participated in United Way (www.uwci.org) since 1998. Each fall we hold our fundraising campaign, which consists of employee contributions and a variety of special events. Our special events during the campaign are always a fun way for employees to participate - bake sales, car washes, ice cream socials, and other activities. Employees also have shared their stories about how United Way's agencies have helped them. dsi has also received the "Company That Cares" award each year since 1999 for our involvement in our company-wide campaign. One of the most significant ways that dsi has helped increase our employee contributions is by offering payroll deduction. By having a specified amount deducted from each paycheck, employees can contribute more over the course of the year! |
| Indiana
Blood Center dsi sponsors two blood drives each year. The Indiana Blood Center (www.cirbc.org) brings their blood mobile to our facility in the spring and fall to recruit employee donors. The Indiana Blood Center (IBC) also participates in our Spring Health Fair each year. The Indiana Blood Center supplies blood to 46 hospitals throughout central and southern Indiana. The IBC also provides vital assistance through other related services including specialized blood typing for organ transplants, viral marker testing, tissue banks, and the National Bone Marrow Donor Program. The Indiana Blood Center is licensed by the FDA and the Indiana State Department of Health. |

United
Christmas Service The United Christmas Service is a program administered by United Way (www.uwci.org) through which needy families and individuals receive assistance during the holiday season. Each year, dsi "adopts" several families to provide food baskets and gifts during the holidays. Some dsi departments have even taken their "adopted" families shopping for warm coats, hats, gloves, boots, and other items. The United Christmas Service has been operating since 1952. With the help of over 75 social service agencies, the United Christmas Service helps nearly 8,000 needy families each holiday season. What a great contribution to our community! |
