has an in-house stockroom with over 30,000 part numbers that is maintained
by trained personnel in an environmentally-controlled area. These
parts are managed using lot code traceability and first-in / first-out
pulling systems. We have automated equipment for part storage, and
detailed reports for customer-owned inventory management.
One of the tools
that we will be offering to our customers is access to dsi 's inventory,
to capitalize on parts that we stock in bulk. You may also view
your own customer-owned inventory at any time, using your user name
and password. These tools should be available for your use soon. By Fall 2003, a tool will be available
that will let you play "what if" games to see whether
we have the parts in stock to build one of your assemblies in the
quantity you need, or find out what would be missing to do so.
