The PCD Quality Engineering team is responsible for reviewing all customer bare board specifications and assuring the effectiveness of dsi 's quality systems within the printed circuit board division. This effort includes guiding continuous improvement efforts, managing the Preventive and Corrective Action System, and conducting in-process and final inspections of bare printed circuit boards.
Quality Engineering works in conjunction with Manufacturing, Engineering and Sales to conduct technical review meetings that assess process capabilities for new technologies. This team is instrumental in the performance of DOEs (Design of Experiments) to establish process capabilities.
dsi 's military certifications (MIL-PRF-31032/1) are maintained and updated under the responsibility of the Quality Manager, who tracks monthly testing requirements and maintains necessary records. All PPAP submissions are prepared and maintained through the efforts of this group as well.
Throughout the plant, PCD Quality Engineering manages the equipment calibration system. They meticulously monitor and trend our cleanliness processes and verify with outside laboratories to assure dsi exceeds IPC and military cleanliness standards.
Certified by IPC, dsi Quality Engineering members conduct IPC-A-600 training for all personnel. They also teach dsi 's copyrighted "PC 101 - The Fundamentals of Printed Circuit Board Fabrication" class for new employees as well as interested customers.
